Sarawak Update received an SMS today on the formation of a new political entity named Parti Pakatan Rakyat Malaysia.

The party is widely speculated to be headed by veteran assemblyman, Gabriel Adit who recently joined PKR, after failing to secure any place in Barisan Nasional (BN). Adit could not be reached for comment and is not replying to SMS either.

Latest source claimed that the party would be launched in Seri Rejang, Sibu on October 15 to prevent the opposition pact from using the name as a political entity.

A senior Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) leader is suspecting BN strongman, Datuk Seri Kiong Sing or corporate figure, Dato Sng Chee Hua being the financier. Sng inner circle strongly deny the veteran politician involvement. Tiong, however could not be reached for comment.
